Many journalists in this area have been well aware of Cooper's harassment of two Birmingham charities and his very close association with a vicious trolling campaign against myself, my wife and others but choose to ignore it (as do a number of his colleagues on the West Midlands Police and Crime Panel where, incredibly, he is the Chair). His friends at West Midlands Police have also been anxious to protect him (although West Mercia Police are now becoming involved).
Cooper has also used Sandwell Council to attack my wife in an effort to silence this blog. Jan Britton, the person who purports to be the Chief Executive of SMBC, permitted his staff to indulge in this course of action. More anon.
Undoubtedly, some of the journalists are simply bone idle and like to suck up to Cooper as an easy source of "stories" which are then printed verbatim as the truth. The Wolverhampton c*ck-suckers are particularly notorious for this as has been pointed out in this blog on a number of occasions.
Maybe some of them feel intimidated by the loutish Cooper? Maybe physical as well as moral cowardice comes into play here and they must now be aware that if they even mildly criticise Cooper they are likely to be victimised by his troll network. Witness the attacks from Cooper's associated accounts on The Halesowen News at the height of the trolling campaign following revelations by their prize-winning investigative journalist, Adam Smith. The trolls then turned on Adam himself and tried to intimidate him eg by putting up photos claiming that they were watching his local pub.
And yet everyone says that the likes of Patrick Burns and Adrian Goldberg are very far from being lazy and diligently produce some good investigative pieces - so long as they don't involve The Sage of Smethwick. Maybe the BBC is the hotbed of "lefties" elements of the Tories claim it is and anti-Sandwell Labour stuff is just suppressed?
Yes, Adrian Goldberg has done a couple of Sandwell Council stories but nothing that directly affects his friend (at least as yet). The pathetically insecure Cooper never misses an opportunity to butter up his mate "super Goldy" and so I suppose we should not expect too much journalistic objectivity:

Patrick Burns is seemingly unaware of Cooper's thuggery even though matters such as his use of covertly-acquired photos of myself and another person to harass and intimidate have been in the public domain for a long time. As above, his attacks on two Birmingham arts charities have been well documented as has his hijacking of a photo of Birmingham Hippodrome volunteers to intimidate (without the consent of any of those in the photograph).
And yet on the Sunday Politics programme yesterday, Burns made the extraordinary and bizarre statement that Cooper "is not a man lacking in compassion"! Well, within minutes of the programme Cooper actually reverted to type. Let's take a look at a "case study":
Case Study in Harassment and Intimidation by Cllr Darren Cooper:
Mr X is a long-standing Labour Party and trade union member who has worked in Children's Homes and with vulnerable kids for all his long working life. He is winding down now but still sits on, and chairs, fostering panels. Until recently, he lived in West Bromwich but was openly critical of the Pyongyang-style dictatorship. And so he was very frequently abused by Cooper and his sidekick from Unite the Union - even to the extent of Cooper publicly commenting on the size of his penis.
And just as Cooper has attempted to get my wife dismissed from her job he was soon making unsubtle threats to Mr X. Thus - public - intimidation (and we have the screenshots):

Mr X mentions that he has been chairing an unspecified panel and Cooper attacks:
"More evidence of your participation and bullying Mr X. Where was the panel you chaired?
Then to intimidate further:
"And don't worry about the fostering panel I found out thank you"
Mr X objected referring to Cooper's past proven history of contacting people's employers to cause trouble for them and the inane Leader [sic] replied:
"Mr X I am not sure what you mean? No threat intend [sic] was wondering how you could chair a panel GIVEN YOUR HISTORY" (my emphasis).
Don't forget that Cooper is very deliberately putting this stuff in the public domain and using Mr X's name in the hope that people connected to his employment will see all this. As it is, Mr X's record in child welfare is exemplary.
Sandwell Labour do love to give themselves awards at taxpayer-funded ceremonies but Cooper turned down an invitation to attend outside the Oldbury Council House in the spring to accept the award as the winner of The Sandwell Skidder's national competition to find Britain's Thickest Council Leader 2015. Mr X and others did attend and so Cooper attacked again using Mr X's twitter name to make sure people who knew him saw it:
"What would be said about your participation in this [the award ceremony] Is this appropriate in your position?"

Cooper returns to a very public attack again being careful to use the Twitter name:
"Mr X talking of "standards"could tell me [sic] what you understand to be a fit & proper person in relation to foster panels"
And by coincidence and with perfect timing, just after the bl*wjob from Patrick Burns yesterday the barely literate would-be "Mayor of Greater Birmingham" went on the attack again. When reading what follows please bear in mind that Cooper has presided for years over absolutely disastrous Children's Services in Sandwell where Ofsted say many vulnerable children are at grave risk of sexual exploitation:

[Hipkiss] Why does the chair of a foster panel, keep attacking & bulling [sic] for having an opinion? Does this show poor judgement? #children"
and following a comment from the troll, Hipkiss:
"Indeed. However would you want this person making vital decisions about children's future's [sic]? He's extremely judgemental in my view".
Nothing wrong with his hearing as Mr Burns could identify a couple of bars of Beethoven at 50 paces but surely he needs to open his eyes? We pay what the class dunce Cooper calls the "license" fee (see below) for objective reporting and so let's have some please when it comes to dimwitted Darren!
