If you listen to wealthy Sandwell Labour Marxists like, er, Cllr Bob "Seig Heil" Piper he will explain to you that capitalism is evil and that those who make profit are scum. But it's a different story when the Labour comrades are squeezing you dry with maximum Council tax increases, rent hikes, higher parking charges and, of course, their brand new green bin tax/theft.
One of the very first blogs I wrote - way back in January, 2014* - referred to evidence prepared on the funeral costs of 22 local authorities in the West Midlands region. At that time, the bent Labour Borough of Sadders had the highest burial costs and the third highest cremation costs of the 22. But these "Socialist" sleazeballs wanted more, and held a staff "away day" to work out how to screw even more from the recently bereaved. Incredibly, they hired a Z-list TV "celebrity", Ruth Badger, to speak at the meeting and ginger-up the staff to "harness business opportunities".
Labour paid "The Badger" - and remember that this was early 2014 - a stonking £3,093.80 ex vat of your money for this gibberish. Mind you, given what a correspondent has sent me today, bent Labour are more than happy to shaft the bereaved at every opportunity!
A rightly-aggrieved Sandwell resident contacted The Skidder this morning to say that he had paid the bent Labour Borough £284 for a plaque to commemorate his loved one. But he found out that the plaque was sourced externally and Sandwell had only paid £108 + £10 carriage for it. Depending on whether the Council has any liability for VAT the comrades earned a profit - which they described as an "admin fee" - of at least £144.40 or as much as £166.00. That's an admin fee well in excess of the actual cost of the plaque and its delivery!
This shower - who will have been in total control of Sadders for 49 years at the end of next month - keep banging on about "mental health issues" but are quite prepared to shaft people when they are vulnerable. But then these jokers are currently giving away valuable tracts of land to their cronies, spending like drunken sailors, and have massive debts to pay for the multi-million pound Commonwealth Games paddling pool. And so they have to screw y'all. No wonder Labour has made the area the fourth poorest in the whole country!
