Lal's p*ss-up (No. 1) latest
In a recent post (link below*) I wrote how new, highly-paid, Chief Executive at bent Labour Sandwell Council, Shokat lal, wanted to "cut the big" straight away and duly authorised the expenditure of £4,000 of OUR money so that he could don his tux and live the high life (or what passes for it in Wolvo) at a fake awards ceremony.
I will be writing further on this subject soon as there are even more disturbing issues arising - including Lal authorising attendance at a second, almost-equally expensive, event. And you might expect that, given the circumstances of his appointment, Lal would wish to support transparency in the bent Council's dealings, but he is actively blocking the identification of the freeloaders who us taxpayers paid to attend the two events.
But for leaving the Council voluntarily, former Labour Cllr Pam Hughes would be facing a standards investigation into her dodgy dealings (and those of her domineering husband, Cllr Peter "Zorro" Hughes) with property developer Satnam Sahota including her failure - twice - to declare an interest when SHE (and others) granted planning permission for 5 bungalows in Wednesbury - one of which the pair now live in! (Skidders passim & see legal notice below). Notwithstanding Pam Hughes's gross misconduct in public office, Shokat Lal thinks she is a fit and proper person to attend - seemingly - BOTH of these plush functions and represent the bent Council at OUR expense. Mrs Hughes definitely attended the second do. This is incredible and wholly unacceptable.
Further, in the original FOIA, and a follow-up, Shokat Lal has very deliberately concealed the identity of "Person 4" who attended the Nachural event. If that turns out to be Pam Hughes then that is a very serious matter indeed.

I have explained in earlier blogs (and see the legal notice below) the way these business "awards" events make their money from gullible fools. The tickets at the Nachural Events do in the summer (run by a friend of Cllr Pam Randhawa and other Labour figures, Ninder Johal) were at least £100 per head. They are £120 per head for the summer 2024 charade. Thus even if Lal thought spending money at such farcical functions was an appropriate use of taxpayers' money he could have authorised the purchase of a table of 10 at between £1,000 and £1,200. As it is he encouraged "sponsorship" of a meaningless category instead at a cost of £4,000 (ex Vat) - £400 per head! Hold those figures for a moment folks.
The interesting thing here is that although there is lots of hoopla at these events an employee at bent Sandwell has calculated the worth of the actual food and booze offering. She (for it is believed to be the person named in a previous post) states that the food was "Indian Restaurant" fare worth just "£7/8" per person. Lal & companions "only" had 4 bottles of wine worth an estimated £18 each. She values the meal and wine at between "150 - £200" for a table of ten which would normally cost between £1,000 and £1,200 (but Lal paid £4,000 ex-vat for, with our money. Kerching!) Either way that's one hell of a f'ing mark-up and no wonder these fake events proliferate. Now Hughes, Randhawa and Lal are asking YOU what cuts YOU want the bent Labour Council to make to save money. They are shafting you Sandwell - wake up FFS!
Port'n'Ale
On the subject of food, many thanks for the excellent hospitality at Port'n'Ale (Horseley Heath, Tipton) for brightening up a very dismal day in the blighted Borough last week. I hope to revisit ere long!
A recent visit to Sadders
I have not visited Great Bridge for some considerable time and was shocked last week to see what an absolute sh*thole it is after nearly 50 years of Labour dictatorship in Sandwell. A place on its knees, dirty and derelict, with unfortunate homeless folk squatting under the front of a defunct Wilko. It beats me how people can simply accept living in a place like this, but they must hate themselves and their families to keep on accepting it. Keep voting Labour folks for much more of the same!
Labour pays for some though ...
One very lucky contractor for bent Labour Sandwell Council struck gold with a multi million pound contract from the comrades in highly controversial circumstances, and has just treated himself to yet another new motor. Suck it up losers!

The Skidder - a formal apology
Turning to the big news of the week in Sadders I need to offer readers a formal apology. I had hitherto described Tory Councillors Archer Williams and Dave Wilkes as good blokes. This week both left the Conservative Party, but rather than continue as Independent Councillors the traitors have embraced corruption and joined bent Sandwell Labour. I apologise for misleading you and now recognise that this pair are unprincipled scum who have deceived everyone with their supposed anti-corruption posturing, and have f*cked the folk of Princes End who voted for them up the derriere. Sorry for getting this so wrong.
And the Tory meltdown continues ...
In my recent post, "The Sandwell Tory Sh*tshow" (link below**) I foretold some of the shenanigans of this past week. The Tories are in disarray with Nicola Richards MP running away, Shaun Bailey MP under attack - even from pro-Tory media outlets, two Councillors defecting (see above), Tory Council Group "Leader", Dave "make the NHS white" Fisher allegedly suspended - at least at local level, two other Councillors suspended and sitting as Independents, and disaffection rife in the small remaining rump. As we saw in my post, this shower has been trying to screw us taxpayers for funding so that they can have a formal "shadow cabinet" at the bent Council. I understand they have even purchased a venue to hold their meetings:
Recognition for bent Labour!
It is a matter of great pride that I am a previous group winner of a Private Eye "Rotten Boroughs" Award (no expenditure required). Now, in the 2023 Awards announced in the current issue (subscription link below***), Sandwell Council is a runner-up in the "Greenstanding" category. We know that bent labour detest private businesses and have done their best over nearly 50 years of control to destroy retailing across the Borough, They do massive environmental damage whilst lying that they are "green". Last year, Labour Leader [sic] & Liar Kerrie "Dim Kez" Carmichael and her moronic comrades decided to shaft the shopkeepers of Sandwell for a whole month by telling people NOT to, er, buy new stuff at local shops throughout January. At least their incompetent idiocy has gone "national" (again)!

The Rowley Village restaurant
This outfit on Portway Road has been spewing out some really vile antisemitic stuff on social media including the truly bizarre allegation that a "crooked Jewish Zionist criminal" runs. er, Germany! We know that Sandwell Police spend much of their time pandering to religious groups but, statistically, there are very few Jewish folk in Sadders, and so probably not enough victims for the cops to bother about. Many people referred the hate speech to WM Police but there has been total silence on any action taken. Mind you, I can think of a few Sandwell Labour Councillors who are probably booking tables at this detestable cesspit even as I write.
