Where Do I Begin?

Coalition Politics Sandwell-Style
This is a sad tale at many levels. There was a lady up North whom I will call "Cathy". Now Liberal Democrats are not everyone's cup of tea and they are not the sort of folk one would want to share a lift with but "Cathy" sounds like she was an activist of the very best kind. She clearly devoted much of her too short life to the Liberal cause. She became ill and then received the worst possible diagnosis. At one stage she was begging for help via social media for someone to collect her prescriptions but it seems her brother came to the rescue and looked after her to the end. Mercifully, her final illness was short and she died at the tender age of 44.
And then it suddenly transpired that she had "apparently" been enjoying love and contentment and not only that - but with a Sandwell LABOUR man! Alas, there were, however, significant policy arguments rehearsed via social media in March, 2012 concerning the NHS! Sexy!
And she wrote this on 28th April, 2012:
"Really should learn that dating politicians is a recipe for disaster - too often only interested in themselves."
Surely not!
The Sandwell Shaggers
A number of both high and low-ranking (male and female) Sandwell Labour politicians are prone to boasting about their sexual prowess. (Alas, I have had to forego the pleasure of watching one very attractive woman on television because of the unpleasant images that flood my brain now that I have the intelligence that a Sandwell Labour figure has, as he apparently put it, "been across her"). We all know from his social media entries that Cllr Paul Sandars likes his beer and cider but surely none of us had him down as a keen amateur swordsman?
Mind you, he may need some guidance from his colleagues if his public question of 18th January, 2012 is anything to go by:
"What's a butt plug?"
Secret Lurve
Now I have contacted some of Cathy's friends and associates and the curious thing is that none of those who responded had any knowledge of the existence of Cllr Sandars before he popped up at Cathy's - or as he put's it - "his partner's" funeral. Perhaps to add an additional frisson of excitement to the romance, it appears that it was mostly conducted clandestinely. There is precious little on social media about their trysts, nor photos etc and no references to trips by Sandars to visit his lover.
But there has been nothing hidden about the gut-churning and nauseating stream of maudlin protestations of undying love from the bearded one via social media and the internet since Cathy died in 2012.
In a grotesque display of mawkishness the unfortunate woman's grave (complete with floral tributes from the man who, online, again calls himself Cathy's "last partner") adorns the cover photo of one of the Councillor's social media sites and his phone screen and there are countless lachrymose lamentations of her passing. An annual pilgrimage is made to the grave and the photos displayed by him. The unfortunate lady apparently had no interest in sport whatsover but in Sandwell Labour sport is, of course, the ONLY thing considered to have any value and so our Celtophile friend is proposing to install a "memorial brick" in Cathy's memory at Worcester Cricket Ground (honestly - I am NOT making this up!)
A Message from Beyond the Grave?
But another curiosity of this whole business is that "Cathy's" twitter account is still extant. She was following 580 accounts and being followed by 389 others when she died but she had only ever BLOCKED one person. Do you think she is tapping on the window from cyber-space to deliver a message to us?
