In my earlier post today I explained how Messrs Pitt, Weaver and Cookson had turned up on Employee X's day off to watch him mowing grass with a stolen tractor but failed to inform the police - seemingly on the instructions of the hapless Britton himself.
Remember that this was in January, 2019 with the tractor having been reported as stolen in April, 2018. But soft, what is this? Mr Cookson provided a statement in January, 2019 that the tractor had gone missing - wait for it - two or three YEARS before that! The thing had been missing, according to Mr Cookson, from some date between mid-January 2016 and mid-January, 2017 but not reported to the police until April, 2018. Talk about a cold case!
And it wasn't just three employees who turned up at York Road Social Club. They watched Employee X mowing the grass and saw him drive off. The mower was left at York Road. But then two MORE employees turned up, Peter Tromans and Craig Foster. When you hear that Sandwell Council claim to be short-staffed there were no fewer than 5 standing about in York Rd waiting for instructions from the B** F** Parkie!
Then Neil Cox became involved after the Amazing Mr Lackenby said it "looked bad for Employee X". Cox demanded access to the York Road lock-up and then numerous employees visited TWICE - at least once in the company of Employee X.
I have also disclosed this week that Sandwell have grossly breached my human rights in respect of unlawful investigations contrary to their RIPA powers and it seems they may have strayed into that territory again as the Employee was on his day off but was kept under surveillance and covertly photographed.
And we must assume that the "stolen" vehicle was NOT the one at York Road since SMBC are still looking for it!
WTF is going on here? There are allegations that persons at the very top of the bent paid service wanted this guy out. Surely they didn't try and fit him up with an alleged theft of a vehicle that had already been missing for two to three YEARS?!? At the most charitable this whole affair smacks of the breathtaking incompetence we came to expect from the Jan Britton regime and incredible wastage of taxpayers' money both in respect of the original loss of this item but the huge resources deployed to "investigate" the alleged sighting of it long afterwards.
It takes a lot to shock me in matters Sandwell but this whole thing is absurd and very worrying. That the very top management then tried to pay the guy off - allegedly after getting a union on side - is extraordinary! Poor Yvonne Davies has been left a toxic cesspit here but what are Sandwell going to do about it?
