Bristnall - Britain's Thickest Council Ward?

Back in Napoleonic times it is alleged that the inhabitants of Hartlepool hanged a shipwrecked monkey believing it to be a French spy. Thus the North-Eastern town became a laughing-stock right up to the present day. Now Bristnall is giving them a run for their money....

And so what of Bristnall - a poverty-stricken and heavily-polluted urban sprawl in the benighted Borough of Sandwell? I mean, this is an area that has done sooooo well under 40 years of the local Labour Party dictatorship hasn't it?

For the last four years the local residents have had to endure "representation" from the Labour Liar, Lucy Cashmore - a local resident from, er, South Birmingham. When she bottled out of facing the electorate again and having to face further investigation of her porkies, the ghastly local Politburo laughably put up as her replacement "The Debtor"- unemployed Carol Goult. This is a woman who was unable to manage her own finances and had to enter into an insolvency Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) but seems to think this qualifies her to help manage a large Metropolitan Council!

But Labour could rely on the dimwitted local electorate of Bristnall to deliver and 26.6% of them duly voted The Debtor in!!!!!

And though she has been subject to an IVA, Goult has immediately been placed on the Board of Management of a local charity, Barlow Homes! You couldn't make it up - er, well actually there is some precedent for this sort of thing as the shifty "socialists" also appointed ex-bankrupt Cllr Joanne Hadley as a trustee of their multi-million pound sports arm, Sandwell Leisure Trust! Scrutiny? What scrutiny?

I have said it before and I will say it again but Sandwell folk have no-one to blame but themselves for their basket case Labour Council but they just never learn. It is such a shame in Bristnall where there are some really amazing people working very hard to make a difference - with very limited resources but great heart. I wish them all well with their seemingly Sisyphean task.

Returning to the Liar Cashmore, I have now done a Freedom of Information request on your behalf and it transpires that whilst she was failing to disclose that she worked for First Personnel (where I believe her sister may also have worked) they were being awarded numerous contacts by - er, yes, you guessed it -  Labour SMBC! Most of the work was for "industrial temps", "commercial temps" and "drivers". This is what Lying Lucy put on her LinkedIn profile (which appears to have disappeared):

"As a Senior Branch Manager [of First Personnel], I oversee the Black Country branches, specialising in Industrial/LGV Driving/Commercial and Skilled Labour both temporary and permanent".

So is it credible that Cashers didn't know SMBC were a Client of her employers (who she should have declared in any event)? We will probably never know as West Midlands Police are determined to protect Sandwell Labour and are refusing, despite a clear prima facie case and evidence presented to them, to investigate Cashmore - presumably because of her connections (?) Perhaps, the mighty Express and Star Group will take up the matter? Or perhaps not - as Lying Lucy now works for them!!!

Of course, Cashmore can't remember where she and her children live so perhaps she is suffering from that well-known Sandwell "loss of memory" affliction, "Hussain's Syndrome". But at least she did not vote in both places she claims to live at the May election. Husband Dave (an employee of SMBC of course) toddled down to the polling booth in Brandwood, South Birmingham alone but did the Liar brave the dog-sh*t smeared streets of Smethwick to vote? Alas she did not. She had a postal vote from the address of her parents in Hall Road!!!!
