When this blog released the Eling/Marshall papers exposing the hate-filled campaign of The Sp*nk Brothers against Cllrs Hussain, Ian Jones and others plus gross obscenity against female councillors Maria Crompton and Olwen Jones plus offensive comments about a transgender person etc etc etc, Jan Britton tried to silence the elected members of the deeply corrupt Labour Council.
Britton wrote to all Councillors on SMBC systems and in his official capacity as Chief Executive [sic] on or around 25th August, 2017 saying that the content of the Eling and Marshall files had been referred to West Midlands Police for "investigation" and that he couldn't comment further since the complaint might lead to prosecutions and he didn't want to prejudice potential legal action."
Councillors I tried to speak to at the time were put off from doing so because of the police involvement. But Britton was lying to councillors - SMBC had not referred any matters to the Police and this has now been confirmed via the Freedom of Information Act.
Thus guy has been giving evidence in the last couple of years stitching up councillors in the High Court. Any parties on the receiving end in future (ie those that upset "The Milkman") should present a copy of this post to their barrister as Jan needs some stern cross-examination on his truthfulness!
PS - remember this joke also failed to keep any records whatsoever of his alleged "detailed investigation" into the award of the taxi contracts to Cllr Hussain when the latter had failed to declare interests in the tender. What a total t*sser!
