Jan Britton and The Trolls

DUE TO AN ONGOING LEGAL DISPUTE AN OBVIOUSLY COMEDIC REFERENCE TO JAN BRITTON AND A HUMOUROUS PHOTOGRAPH HAVE BEEN TEMPRARILY REMOVED.

We all know that Jan "xxx xxxxx xxxxxxx" [ comedic reference temporarily removed] Britton cannot control the lunatic Labour "leader" of Sandwell Council, Darren "The Turdmeister" Cooper, (even if he has the inclination to do so) but most of us would probably expect him to be able, as a very highly-paid Chief Executive of SMBC, to be able to control his departments and staff.

The uber-thick Cooper has, of course, been directly engaging with a number of Twitter troll accounts despite also being the Chair of the West Midlands Police and Crime Panel (!) but has been trying to cover his tracks as the election approaches. Some of the trolls have now been suspended by Twitter but, one, @Gemmawool15, is still going strong (the other day "he" - for it is NOT a "she" - send no less than 44 abusive tweets to me in one day with 12 of them being copied in to my wife's employers). Cooper has had a lot to do with this account but is no longer following it in his own name. Nevertheless he has three of his closest associates doing so - the account purporting to be that of Facebook liar, Cllr Joanne Hadley; the alleged quondam resident of Edinburgh, Cllr Paul Sandars and, of course, Unite the Union's local rep, Brian Rickers (also directly involved in the harassment of the charity where my wife works).

This is an account directly linked to Britton's own Council following a known troll account. And then we have an employee, who is openly using his own account to promote Sandwell Council, doing exactly the same thing:

Whilst on the subject of Mr Singh, I have pointed out on numerous occasions that Labour's brutish "Leader" is sacking hundreds of people but that those who vote Labour or "play the Politburo's game" are likely to duck the redundancy bullet. Judging by this piece of classic arslikhan (worthy of the Express and Star itself) about Labour's (still-unkept) promise that there would be live webcasting of their ludicrous "meetings", Sandy Singh can look forward to a rosy future:

And our friend is not averse to blowing the trumpet for the sinking Council on other occasions too (no doubt also delighting Mr Britton):

Of course, the Twitter profile of this employee says that he works for Labour Sandwell as an "Electoral Participation Officer" and whilst it is laudable to get folk to register to vote I wonder whether it is appropriate at election-time for an employee to be using his personal account to promote specific targeted registration drives - particularly when it seems that politicians may also be present or otherwise "involved"? Jan Britton - who is also the Returning Officer for the election - clearly thinks that it is:

I am sure the other parties vying to unseat Labour candidates in the rotten Borough will be following all this with considerable interest in the next few weeks even if, as with the likes of the Cashmore saga, Britton is entirely content with the position!

Since putting this post up yesterday "Gemma" has acquired a new follower! Yes, Britain's Thickest Council Leader has started following this troll account again:
