Oh Dear - Costigan Forgot Her Private Emails!

Regular readers will know that Cllr Elaine Costigan was tapping up a company in Wednesbury called KTC Edibles for donations to her personal fiefdom Wednesbury Celebrates (that is the one where she - and others - failed to pay SMBC any rent for using the Town Hall and used the resulting seemingly healthy bank balance to claim the organisation was solvent when claiming various grants.)

With KTC she failed to declare an interest when then she was on the Planning Committee discussing KTC's controversial planning application after they illegally erected 2 huge silos towering over people's houses.

I put in a Standards Complaint about all this which was given short shrift by the new "hard man" Monitoring Officer , Surjit Tour, partly on the basis that Costigan was claiming that whilst her name was on emails from Wednesbury Celebrates touting for cash she didn't necessarily send them. But she was p*ssing down Tour's leg and telling him it was raining since she failed to mention her personal emails which have now been sent to The Skidder. These confirm that she most definitely knew all about the substantial donation KTC were offering and, further, that she went back to them in May 2015 tapping them up again ie at a time after they had put in their planning application and before she was on the Committee that approved it!

Clearly Costigan did not make proper disclosure in the, admittedly pisspoor, Standards "investigation" and so I have made a further complaint with full details of the offending emails! Here is the relevant part:

Addendum - in paragraph 2 of "facts" above this should read that the planning application was forwarded TO Mike Nicholls of SMBC.
