Sandwell Council are now using the £300,000 legal fund referred to elsewhere to attempt to censor this blog post. As I have no money nor legal representation at present I am voluntarily and temporarily removing the matters complained of pending resolution. This is done STRICTLY WITHOUT ANY ADMISSION OF LIABILITY whatsoever. Indeed, I am defending the oppressive claim against me.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Well let's start with a little discussion about the term "doctor" - which, of course, we also came across with the hapless Alison Knight - now, mercifully, no longer a Director at the corrupt Authority.
What is a PhD?
I am keeping this simple but there is basically a three-tier system of university degrees in the UK. Depending on whether a student is studying arts or sciences most go on to get a "Bachelor" degree and can call him or herself "BA" or "BSc". (When I say "most" I exclude Tom Watson since the Rutting Walrus spent years at Uni but couldn't manage to get a degree.) A smaller group go on to take a higher degree or "Masters" and can then use "MA" or "MSc" after their names as applicable. Some "perpetual students" and those who seek an academic career may then take an even higher degree which involves research work in their chosen field and earns then a "PhD" and the right to refer to themselves as "Doctor".
Thus we recently saw the re-employment of SMBC retread Knight as the Neighbourhoods supremo. She called herself "Doctor" in a forlorn hope this would imply some professional credibility, despite evidence to the contrary. In fact her Doctorate was in respect of the unrelated field of education. How very relevant!
With medics the position becomes more complicated since they do not have to undertake a PhD-level degree to call themselves "doctor" if, in short, they take a medical degree and register as a medical practitioner.

This is all rather odd since in the first Government stats (issued before Christmas) Sandwell had the WORST school attendance record in the WHOLE country with a stonking 63% of kids not actually turning up! *

There is a major Sandwell obesity problem - which is highly problematic for folk with Covid - xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Can it be that idiotic Labour politicians have been boasting that you can't walk 10 metres in Smethwick and elsewhere in Sadders without tripping over a starving child? The comrades boast how so many kids are poor after they have f*cked the Borough over for 46 years yet somehow see themselves as the solution! They have suddenly found some money and will start feeding kids where the parents allegedly can't.
The reality for anyone who travels around Sandwell (as I did pre-Covid, dodging the dog-turds) is that child obesity is a significant problem rather than starvation. The latest available Sandwell Trends figures are:
Reception age kids: 12.8% obese against an English national average of 9.5%;
This rises alarmingly with age:
Year 6 age kids: 28.2% obese against an English national average of 20.1%.
The sh*thole Labour Borough ranked 141st of 150 authorities!
And the adult obesity statistics are appalling too (yes I know, I know ...)
And of course, the mortality rates after 46 years of "socialism" make grim (reaper) reading so that, even before Covid, Sandwell folk shuffle off this globe earlier than most of the rest of the country.

If there is a turd floating in the cesspit of local news you can be sure it will be fished out by the world's worst TV "News Magazine" Midlands Today and, sure enough, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Even if this is true, a car ride through Sadders will soon lead one to guess that even if folk are told to self-isolate they are not. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx has not stopped the infection rate soaring.
But guess what folks - in the 7-day rolling figures for positive Covid cases per 100,000 people dated 22nd January - Labour Sandwell was SECOND worst in the whole country. This isn't good enough - we expect Labour Sandwell to be the worst as it so often is!
Addendum 28/02/21 - and Sandwell did it! The following week it had the WORST infection rate in the whole country.
This is what xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx the Labour braggarts claim to be a "fantastic job". Once again folks they are pissing down your leg and telling you it is raining!

The vaccination programme is well-under way in Sadders although you may me surprised to learn that it has, in fact, been underway throughout lockdown in one part of the benighted Borough according to Skidder sources. Yes, it is said that over several months a married male Councillor has regularly been administering a prick to a "working-from-home" Sandwell Council employee ...
* I am intrigued about the school dinner situation here given that Labour - who never gave out a single "free" [ie paid for by taxpayers] school dinner when they were in power nationally - have been bragging about the free schools meals dished out in the holidays. Does anyone know how this all works now there are academies and SMBC-run outfits? If only 37% of kids were in school were these all eligible for free school meals? What happened to the kitchen food stocks held by schools when 63% didn't turn up? Who keeps the accounts for all this? How did the hundreds of "starving" kids Labour keep boasting about creating in 46 years of Sandwell failure actually get a dinner?
