Another Labour Sandwell Council Domestic Abuse Allegation!

Shocking stuff - a number of Labour Councillors at bent Sandwell and local Party members are saying that the wife of one of their Councillor "comrades" has alleged that she has been subjected to domestic abuse. In a dramatic turn the Skidder is told she was moved out  to a place of safety. The Skidder has written to the Councillor asking about this sordid tale and giving him the opportuinity rebut the allegation but he has declined to respond.

If that is not bad enough, it is said that the alleged victim sought support from some Labour Councillors but this was not forthcoming from some individuals. (One has also refused to respond to me about this!)

This is a horrible situation and is doubly shocking given the way Labour lauded that notorious wife-beater, the late Labour Leader [sic] Darren Cooper - seen here with one of his cheerleaders, the self-proclaimed feminist Jess Philips MP:

It is hard to imagine how much lower this lot can go (although, there are very serious allegations which I still can't share with you just yet but hang on in there).

David Stevens Tightens Grip - For Now!

Follow the demise of the disgraced former "Chief Executive", Jan Britton, at the corrupt Labour Council Cllr "Red" Yvonne Davies asked David Stevens to step up to the top job. She promised a diligent search for a new supremo but then decide to appoint within the bent paid service. The selection process was duly rigged and took place, er, over the Christmas holidays when the offices were closed. With no challenger Stevens won the crown. One year on and one of the supposed "contenders" has herself been booted out!

Stevens is a controversial figure. Two of his pets were Stuart Lackenby (blogs passim) and Neil Cox. Stevens has flatly refused to say whether he has ever had a business relationship with Lackenby. Why?

It would probably be impossible for anyone to be worse in the job that the disastrous Britton. Speaking personally, Stevens is one-up on the former hapless lardarse (pot calling kettle a bit there!) in that he appears to possess a brain and whilst the results are patchy he has made SOME improvements in the governance of the bent Borough (at a difficult time). In his dealings with me he has veered between being very fair to absolutely shafting me and so it remains to be seen whether he is a man to be trusted.

But a new streamlined top management plan was agreed late last year giving Stevens the chance to form his own team (and, allegedly, to save money though see further below). The Skidderati assumed Lackenby would become Steven's right-hand man but, to everyone's surprise, Stuart suddenly left for the sunny climes of Northamptonshire! I imagine you can guess where this is going folks? Following some high profile departures a "recruitment process" is under way (like it was for Steven's post lol) but, nevertheless, it was felt that there should be an immediate internal appointment for the post of "Director for Business Strategy and Transformation" and the lucky winner is - drumroll please - yes, you guessed it, Neil Cox!

In a Council where cronyism has damaged the Borough so badly we are back to more of the same! 

I have only met Neil once and apart from one particularly aggrieved person he has generally received "positive feedback" in his more lowly posts (as I have told him). Presumably with his new "b*llocks" job title he will be doing some of the tasks formerly in the purview of the hapless Alison Knight (blogs passim) and perhaps at least some will benefit from his "hands-on" - style of management. We shall see ...

BUT ... The rumours just will not go away that Eling rimmers-extraordinaire Spellar, Gurinder Josan, David Hallam and John Kelly are still desperately trying to get the Sp*nk Brother's Labour Party suspension lifted so that he can make the biggest comeback since Lazarus. The Squealer (aka The Milkman) has already split the local Labour Group right down the middle but some Councillors are saying that if he returns he will very quickly force Stevens out. One the one hand, we have seen in past blogs ad nauseum that Milko is a very nasty piece of work and, if he does return to take Sadders from the gaping jaws of Hades right down into the fiery abyss, he won't have Britton on hand to wipe his arse on demand. He will not tolerate anyone standing up to his tyrannical behaviour. 

On the other hand, I am tempted to dismiss this speculation since I get the impression that Stevens is a chameleon and may well see the benefit of accomodating the Milkman's dictatorial demands (indeed in some of the post notorious episodes of the Squealer's crazed reign eg. the suspensions of the innocent Cabinet secretaries, our Dave was conspicuous by his absence. He seems to have always been doing "other things" whenever the sh*t hit the fan).

Hang on though! At least the ringleaders of the infamous "Gang of 26" Labour rebels currently trying to destroy the present regime are also major Squealer rimmers and they are very upset that Stevens is said to be pushing ahead with standards investigations into some of their Barmy Army. 

Yet even here, one wonders whether Stevens is playing the long game? The investigations under Sandwell Council's most dangerous man, Surjit Tour, are proceeding at glacial pace and now seem unlikely to see the light of day before the May elections (if those actualli take place due to the Covid crisis). This appears to outsiders to be a deliberate ploy. Costigan, Zorro Hughes, the Giles's etc are hoping to bolster their ranks in May and dethrone Maria Crompton and the current Cabinet. At which point Stevens will be ordered to rig and/or close down the investigations on pain of losing his job (and remember the precedent when Eling destroyed Melanie Dudley to protect Simon "The Sandwell Slasher" Hackett?) Maybe Stevens doesn't want all the aggro before the election and will sit tight to see which way the wind is blowing afterwards?

There is one straw in that breeze in that the Gang of 26 (currently 24 due to the Party suspension of the moronic Billa - Cllr M Y Hussain - and the departure of Cllr Luvvie Trow) are said to be demanding the appointment of a Deputy Chief Executive! Despite the b*llshit that the management restructure is to save money Zorro is said to be on his Shetland Pony with other rebels baying behind for an understudy for Dave. There can be no reasoned rationale for this and so is it a none too subtle warning to Stevens that if he doesn't kowtow to these grotesques he will be replaced pronto? 

OF COURSE, YOU CAN HELP PUT A STOP TO THE LABOUR INCOMPETENCE AND CORRUPTION MY VOTING AS MANY OF THEM OUT AS POSSIBLE COME THE ELECTION!

Absurd Councillor Caroline "Caz" White has been whittering on social media about catching nasty things from "pens" but given her very well publicised relationship with joke married ex-Cllr David Hosell did she miss an "i" out of pens?

Another One Bites The Dust

You have to hand it to Labour they will not rest until every green space and old building in Sadders is destroyed with just a handful of exceptions. Now a fine old building at Forge Mill Lane has been destroyed on the usual pretext ie Labour let it go to rack and ruin and then "had to" demolish it as it was allegedly in imminent danger of collapse!

A Tweeter says that when the old farmer died the corrupt Council went to a lot of effort to evict his daughter. Steve Lilley on Twitter said the site was a nesting place for swallow, barn owls, kestrels and bats. No-one locally seems to have any clue Labour were going to destroy this site. Did you?
