Labour Sandwell Blame Covid Spread on Workers!

I know I have been a tease about a big story but hopefully it will come soon. In the meantime I have discovered the reason for the downfall and disgrace of Jan Britton and hope to be able to bring you that in due course! In the meantime ...

Right Up The Workers

We have seen in this blog how Sandwell Labour boasted that they have a better Covid track and trace system than the national one and that they infamously crowed last year that they had Covid, er, licked. As ever this hubristic b*llocks was just, er, b*llocks and recently Sandwell had the WORST Covid infection rates in the whole country! (It is still the fifth worst in last week's recent stats.)

Are Labour to blame for any of this? Of course not. The fault lies with, er, WORKERS!

After 46 years of Labour failure, Sadders has above average unemployment and below average people in employment (a different, but telling, stat that includes many folk blighted by Labour poverty and who have simply given up trying to find work). You might think, therefore, that Sadders should have lower infection rates since less folk are actually working during lockdowns. (And, lest we forget, Red Yvonne and cronies forced the construction to continue for the Commonwealth Games paddling pool throughout the Covid crisis since this was an "essential", er Labour vanity, project.)

Now Labour Sandwell are bemoaning the fact that (a) Sandwell has a large population of uneducated, unskilled, people, and (b) after 46 years they have driven decent jobs away and are unable to attract new ones - seemingly not realising that their constant abuse of business people as "greedy scum" and "exploiters" is not conducive to real regeneration and wealth creation.

And so Labour are now saying that this worst infection figures anywhere has been because of no proper lockdown in Sadders. Worse, the people of Sandwell are all working in Covid-superspreading food processing plants and factories. Labour boast that they have more of these sh*t employers than anywhere else - particularly in the West Midlands. The "socialist" dictatorship allege that they became the worst local authority in the country because people in these Covid hotspots carried the disease home. So, if you work in low grade employment in Sandwell YOU are to blame for the dismal figures. Nice!

Yesterday I asked the bent Council for the statistics backing this up but Dave Stevens and Co unilaterally converted my request into a Freedom of Information request which they won't answer for weeks, or even months. (Happily the Birmingham Mail should have the stats so I may get them quicker). Addendum 27/02/21 - The Birmingham Mail have confirmed that they did NOT see the statistics when they published these allegations with information direct from Sandwell Council. Thus they cannot supply them to me.

Bearing in mind Maria Crompton, the temporary Labour Leader, boasted to my face about Sandwell's "brilliant" track and trace system, I also asked SMBC why it/the HSE had not been closing the alleged super-spreader work places down but that question has also been kicked into the FOI long grass.

I am sure Labour will try to claim that workers have been forced to work because of "poverty" and I have asked Cllr Crompton for a quote. To be fair I gave her short notice and she has family matters to attend to but I shall keep you posted. If any Cabinet members wish to comment in the interim feel free.

But don't forget to ask Labour candidates for the answers and statistics when they come touting for your votes soon! 

Addendum 25/02/21 - someone has emailed saying large numbers have been gathering in Dartmouth Park in the last couple of days so maybe best avoided!

Skidder Facebook Group - You Are Being Watched!

Sandwell Council are making yet another attempt to silence this blog and to destroy me financially. As part of the process they have divulged that they are spying on my Twitter and Facebook accounts. Given that every request to SMBC at present is met by a standard response that there may be a delay in replying because of the Covid crisis, many readers will find it surprising that staff, including in-house solicitors, have been delegated to this absurd task.

They have stated that they have surveillance on - our - Facebook Group, "The Sandwell Skidder - Speaking Truth To Power!". In a bizarre twist they are making a novel legal argument that Group members don't have brains and simply follow me as if I am some sort of messianic cult leader! (Mind you, someone did shout at me in the street, "Saunders, you're a cult!" At least that's what I thought they said lol!) They say that I am legally responsible for anything YOU choose to say in the Group as I "incite" you to make comments! I look forward to them trying to argue that one before a High Court Judge!

The Group is a "public" group but only Group members can make comments on it. It seems to me that we are the ones with nothing to hide and that we should not let the Labour dictatorship bully us into becoming a "private" group. Accordingly, I "incite" Group members to have their say and comment whether they think David Stevens (SMBC Chief Executive) authorising the spy campaign is a proper use of taxpayers' funds? And should we defiantly put two fingers up to this anti-free speech tyrrany and stay as a "public" group with nothing to hide?

The bent Labour Council is also, legally,  a data controller. Even though the public can read Group postings I am not at all sure that Stevens harvesting your personal data is lawful. I am taking professional advice on this.

Tea Cups at Dawn!

The full story is still unfolding (and all information welcome as ever) but there have been some very strange goings on in Wednesbury - or, at least, even stranger than normal. There has been an outbreak of vigilantism. Someone has set up "The Shopwatch and Safety Partnership" in the town but far from feeling safe, some shopkeepers are feeling distinctly intimidated! And there have been mysterious "patrols" of the Town Centre where there have been claims of threats of violence and of people being bitten by a dog (or dogs). It seems that this "group" even requested use of premises as a "lookout" for what they perceive to be "undesirables" on the streets.

The tea room in Union Street has been getting flak from a Mr Finnigan who, coincidentally, wants to set up a tea room by the old cinema. Mr Finnegan has said that he has "withdrawn his sponsorship" from the new "Partnership", whatever that means.

Addendum 27/02/21: I have just had a nice chat with Mr Finnegan who says that he does have issues with the existing tea rooms but says he is the victim. As we know, nothing usually happens in Wednesbury without the malign influence of Cllrs Elaine Costigan and Peter Hughes. Just to let you know that they declined to make a comment to you dear readers when I wrote to them about all this.

Another Tory Comes Out For Green Spaces!

Labour are intent on destroying all green spaces in Sandwell outside The Valley and Warley Woods. We saw in a recent post that when I wrote to the three Conservative MP's and Andy Street about saving Lion Farm Fields, James Morris MP was quick to say that he opposes any more destruction of green areas in Sadders.

Now Nicola Richards (MP for West Brom East) has replied, "I am of the belief that the precious green spaces here in Sandwell should be protected from development and I am running a similar campaign to protect green spaces in and around Wilderness Lane in Great Barr."

She added that, of course, electing a healthy contingent of Tory Councillors in may would produce strong opposition to the Labour open space wreckers within the Council chamber!

I have yet to hear from Shaun Bailey and Andy Street. The latter's failure to respond is rather troubling given Street's very close association with the proposed developer in the outrageous Lion Farm proposal but I know he has had a family bereavement and I will cut him some slack - for now!

Nicola's New Campaign Office

Between 2010 and 2015 former fat man Tom Watson was the joint laziest MP in Parliament (which was sufficient qualification for him to be elected as Deputy Leader of The Labour Party - ROFLMAO). That will come as no surprise to most folk in West Brom East who wonder what the f*ck he ever did for them? (And Sir Woodenarse, Keir Starmer, wants him back on the gravy train as an unelected Labour "Lord"!)

Meanwhile Nicola Richards (WBE) and Shaun Bailey (West Brom West) have been incredibly active. James Morris is in the Whips Office and my email account is clogged with reports of his hyper-activity.

Of course, London-based Labour MP Spellar is still as much use as the proverbial chocolate teapot.

The Greens are Coming! Not Sure Where From But They Are Coming.

Those of us who are campaigning to save Lion Farm Fields and who fought to stop Labour destroying Londonderry Fields and Brandhall Golf Course are bemused by the total lack of support in recent times from The Green Party. Yet they tell me that they are going to field a slate of candidates in Sadders for the May elections. I have actually voted Green in recent elections and am totally stunned that people are going to be parachuted in who have done f*ck all to stop the Labour environmental (and other) destruction. Unless there are some remarkable candidates it pains me to say that a Green vote is a wasted vote in Sadders ...

And finally - don't forget your postal vote!
