He was "the money-man" throughout the disastrous Cooper/Britton era of rampant fraud and corruption at the bent Labour fief. Ask anyone and they will tell you, "oh yes, Steve signed EVERYTHING off", and yet he is another who claims not to have known what was going on. As far as I am aware he has never been interviewed under caution by West Midlands Police but that is hardly surprising when he had senior officers dancing to his tune like Ch. Supt. Baker, or "Rich" as the Squealer called him.
When he became Leader in a disputed election (or rigged election depending on which Councillors you talk to) he set about trying to destroy all opposition - including fellow Party members on the Council and senior employees like Melanie Dudley (herself a Party member.) Paranoia stalked the corridors of the Oldbury Kremlin and all business was conducted in the utmost secrecy with the feeble Britton again grovelling to the crazed dictator to keep himself in a job. The Eling Fuhrerbunker was even physically surrounded for meetings with security fencing and a quasi-paramilitary force - "Eling's Barmy Army".

But the content of the infamous "WhatsApp" disclosures via this blog together with other complaints finally forced the Labour Party to act and he was suspended pending disciplinary proceedings which are ongoing (despite the interventions of his right-wing cronies, Spellar and Watson.)
The local mainstream media do not conduct any investigative journalism and are fiercely (and bizarrely) pro-Sandwell Labour. The BBC in particular were mouthpieces for Eling and failed to question anything he said. Despite the fact that it was common knowledge that the Cabinet had their own WhatsApp group they were happy to show Eling crowing that he didn't use social media without questioning this (posts passim.)
Prior to the local elections in May various Eling rimmers were axed by the Labour Party including Dave'n'Shirl Hosell. As mentioned previously Eling told me to my face that Dave's appointment to his Cabinet was purely cynical and a political move to bring him (and Shirl) into the Eling "camp".

As an aside I am also indebted to a correspondent for sending me the following illiterate and abusive rant from Hosell when he was still a Cabinet member! He started to comment on tweets by a local woman via two different Twitter accounts. When she questioned whether it was really him this was the EXACT response she got from the Legendary Lothario (which also suggests that he is misusing social media via a number of "different sites"):
"Hi xxxxxxxxx, I have many different sites so cannot be certain which site you mean, however if whatever you are reading upsets you and is true full [sic] I am quite willing for posts to be Associated with me....."
He, as a Council Cabinet member was proud to upset Sandwell folk on social media. (For the sake of completeness I should add here that Hosell personally knows the infamous Sandwell Twitter troll, Andy Hipkiss.)
When the Hosell's were de-selected they left the Labour Party to stand as independents. Dave has been in a long-term relationship with Cllr Caroline White who was then still representing the Labour Party. She was caught helping him put up election posters - although she said she just happened to be passing and was concerned about Dave climbing ladders and just offered to assist for "health and safety" reasons. The Skwawkbox website also disclosed an audio tape where the two of them were out campaigning together. Dave described Caz on tape as his "girlfriend". He thought he would be re-elected and boasted that Caz would be "coming over to him" after the vote. Alas he and Shirl failed to get elected....... (applies onion to eyes.)
Like Eling, Dave has vowed vengeance on the brave souls who dared to stand-up to the ranting Milkman......
What happened with Caz next is opaque. Some reports say that she was booted out of the Party for assisting an opponent. She claimed to me that she "resigned" first. Either way she was out and set up what she claims is the "United Sandwell Party". At the time of writing this has still not been registered as a political party with the Electoral Commission.
The United Sandwell "Group" consists of Caz herself and a complete non-entity who also used to be a Labour Councillor, Bill Cherrington (who he? Ed.) Not exactly likely to strike terror in the heart of the Sandwell Labour behemoth lol!
Curiously one cannot help liking Caz but even her most ardent supporters (Dave and, er, Dave) would admit that she is never going to win a round of Mastermind. So was an evil Svengali pulling the strings? Perhaps a malevolent sprite with a cottage in rural Derbyshire? Well - yes - it would seem so....

Now this "Steve Eling" surely cannot be the one and the same who "doesn't use WhatsApp"? But Caz is of the view that it is one and the same as the spiteful former "leader". Although suspended it is believed that Eling is still a Labour Party member but here he is clearly (a) supporting an opposition party/group and (b) encouraging non-Labour Councillors to make life difficult for the ruling Labour Group.
You might think this person is a complete "tosser" whose lust for revenge knows no bounds. I couldn't possibly comment....
When asked whether Caz was taking advice from Eling this was her response:
This sounds as if The Squealer still has some allies and these need to be rooted out. Perhaps the group huddled in the Oldbury Wetherspoons recently may be the starting point??? In any event Eling is trying to use Caz as his puppet to attack the Labour Council.
I wrote to The Milkman yesterday. He has not responded.

TROLLS
In recent week a putrefaction of trolls have taken to Twitter attacking me and other common targets like Darryl Magher.
They are being taken down one by one. Here is the latest which Twitter has suspended for abusive behaviour:
At the time of this account's demise it had only FOUR followers including, er, the aforementioned Caz White plus TWO Labour Councillors. Cowards Edwards and Sandars regularly follow troll accounts that attack me rather than say anything to my face. It's just like the old Cooper days again lol!
Dave Hosell has promised to give me a hard time (and he has promised to assault Darryl Magher when the opportunity arises - see video.) Bizarrely this knuckle-dragger put in a Freedom of Information (FOI) Request harking back again to the Cooper era. I am a citizen journalist but he asked the Council how many FOI requests I have made! Why?
Anyone using The Skidder email will know that the account uses the name "Vincent Alexandervich" (long story.) Now someone has set up an account with "What Do They Know" in the name of Vincent Alexandervich and made NINE ridiculous FOI requests to SMBC so far. I have advised Jan Britton's bent paid service that this anonymous requester is NOT me. They are entitled by law to ask for proof of identity and we shall see whether "Vincent" comes forward (although friend Hipkiss used to post how good he was at supplying fake ID!)

(Whilst writing this post the exciting news came in that Jan Britton is on "extended leave". Let us hope that this is the beginning of the end of his disastrous municipal "career".....)
