MAJOR BREAKING NEWS - JAN BRITTON

Official news - Sandwell Council's Rimmer-in-Chief, Jan Britton, is away on "extended leave" and David Stevens steps up as Acting Chief Exec. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for this one-man disaster-zone but we shall see!

Add: Staff say he goes off-roading in his 4x4 at weekends and takes his vehicle to Waterfall Lane on Monday mornings where a taxpayer-funded minion jet washes it. He did not take it this Monday. He was also not at Cabinet yesterday and David Stevens was in his place.
