Two to three years ago and for reasons unknown a [named] facilities manager at bent Labour Sandwell Council ordered facilities operatives to dump loads of old fridges, microwaves etc in Sandwell Council's own main car park (by the Wellman Building) and to claim that this had been left by fly-tippers! (I cannot fathom this although one allegation is that the comrades wanted a photo opportunity in a campaign against fly-tipping and faked the incident.)
As ever in Sadders things become even more weird! A[named] female facilities manager was in on this but a problem arose when the van driver collided with the car park height restrictor and damaged the van. It is alleged that this woman then lied about this and said the vehicle had, in fact, been vandalised overnight! Further steps were taken to delete the relevant CCTV footage.
It is not clear whether SMBC itself paid for the repair of the van or if a fraudulent insurance claim was made based on the false "vandalism" story.
Is this true folks? Someone has used their own name to report this to me and has named two persons. Of course, it might be someone with an axe to grind but please contact (details below) if you have any info! Anonymity guaranteed.
